Responsibilities

The function of the Public Works Department is to provide overall coordination and direction to five separate but cooperating divisions (Engineering, Roads & Bridges, Sanitation, Storm Water, and Clean & Beautiful), and to interact appropriately with various other state, federal, and local agencies.

This Department is responsible for all facets of Road Maintenance and Construction, Engineering and Design, Plan Review and Project Inspection, Solid Waste Collection, and Recycling.

**PROJECTS IN PROGRESS - The paving portion of the project has been completed. Striping, sign installation, and shoulder building portion are in progress. 


ROAD CLOSURES:  
The following roads are temporarily closed due to flood damage. Please do not drive around barricades, cones, or caution tape as these are in place for your safety.

TRAFFIC MOVEMENT CHANGE: 

There are currently no Traffic Movement Changes in progress.

Please drive carefully in these areas for your safety and the safety of our crews. Keep in mind that there will be traffic delays in this area. Please watch for pilot cars and flaggers.
