Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-386(a)(3), This is to notify the citizens of Walton County that the Board of Elections will begin the tabulation of Absentee Ballots cast in the June 9, 2020 General Primary at 10a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the Walton County Government Building located at 303 S Hammond Drive in Monroe.

Notice is hereby given to all voters in the West Monroe Voting Precinct that, as provided by Official Code of Georgia Annotated 21-2-265, the Walton County Board of Elections, acting as the Superintendent of Elections, has moved the place for casting votes in said precinct from Christ Community Church, 2350 Highway 138, Monroe, GA 30655 to NewSong Church, 628 Camp Lake Rd, Monroe, GA 30655.  Beginning immediately all Federal, State and County Elections shall be held at NewSong Church as the Polling Place for West Monroe.

Notice is hereby given to all voters in the Gratis Voting Precinct that, as provided by Official Code of Georgia Annotated 21-2-265, the Walton County Board of Elections, acting as the Superintendent of Elections, has moved the place for casting votes in said precinct from the Gratis Fire Station, 2126 Mount Vernon Rd NW, Monroe, GA 30656 to Center Hill Baptist Church, 2940 Gratis Rd NW Monroe, GA 30656.  Beginning immediately all Federal, State and County Elections shall be held at Center Hill Baptist Church as the Polling Place for Gratis.

The absentee packets contain a privacy sleeve and not an envelope for you to place your voted ballot into. Please use the sleeve in the same manner as you would use an envelope – to protect the privacy of your ballot. Once your ballot is inserted into the sleeve, place the sleeve into the envelope containing the oath, sign and seal the envelope, and return it to the Board of Elections Office.

The Board of Elections has installed a secure drop box for absentee ballots for the June 9, 2020 election.  The drop box is white and is located in front of the Government Building located at 303 S Hammond Drive in Monroe.

Early Voting is being moved from the Walton County Government Building to the Nowell Recreation Center located at 201 W Spring St in Monroe.  The Nowell Recreation Center is beside the Library.

There will also be Early Voting in Loganville at Meridian Park, 101 Generation Blvd (Off Highway 81 in Loganville).

There will be NO Early Voting in Social Circle or Walnut Grove for this election.
