1. Who do I call to report a Right of Way or Road Condition issue?

Call the Walton County Public Work Division at 770-267-1350 for road condition issues on a public street or submit a service request through our website. We will issue a service request and go out to fix the problem as soon as possible. If the issue is on a privately owned street or parking lot, contact the property owner or property management company to have it repaired.

2. How can I determine the location of the right-of-way on a given roadway?

Call Board of Commissioners Office at 770-266-1301 for a listing of the right of ways for each street within Walton county, however for your particular address a survey or recorded deed documents are the most accurate.

3. Does Walton County pick up dead animals?

Yes, Walton County does ONLY handle removal of dead deer in the street or on the right of way. If the animal is not in the street or on the right of way, it is the citizen's responsibility.

Dead animals that are located on a State Highway in Walton County will be picked up by the Georgia Department of Transportation, please contact them at 770-266-0863..

4. Who do I call about a tree that has fallen across my road?

To report a tree blocking part or all of a road during normal working hours (Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM excluding holidays), please call our office at 770-267-1350. After hours please call the Walton County Sheriff's Department at 770-267-6557 or 911.

5. Who do I call about a drainage problem?

Contact Walton County Stormwater Division at 770-267-1350 for all drainage issues:

• For flooding due to construction .
• For flooding in the right of way
• For flooding outside the right of way
• For water quality issues regarding streams, creeks, etc
• If you are unsure whether the drainage issue is inside or outside of the right of way

6. Does Walton County clean out driveway pipes?

Yes. Driveways and the drainage pipes under them are the county responsibility to maintain and clean.  For questions about driveway and driveway pipe maintenance, call the Stormwater Division at 770-267-1350.

Walton County Public Works Division is not responsible for driveway pipes is when the pipe is initially installed. For more information, Please contact Planning & Development at 770-267-1485.
