YOUTH INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION (SRO)

The Youth Investigations Division provides School Resource Officers to all county schools. Their responsibilities range from traffic control to the physical security of each campus. Each SRO is tasked with ensuring all students are provided a safe learning environment. This division is also responsible for investigating all crimes involving minors in Walton County. Specialized programs such as C.H.A.M.P.S. are taught by SRO instructors to the students highlighting avoiding drugs, anti-bullying, and making positive choices.
